Why Play Competitive Basketball?
Besides being fun, competitive basketball experience is essential for individual players to compete effectively. A recent survey was conducted with Freshmen, JV, and Varsity Grand Haven High School basketball players (both boys and girls), and the numbers were telling:
97% % participation in AYBT summer basketball
3.4 Avg number of years of AYBT played
5.1 Avg number of years of AYBT played adjusted for playing year (i.e. a freshmen can play more)
64% % participation in AAU basketball
1.4 Avg number of years of AAU played
3.1 Avg number of years of AAU played adjusted for playing year
83% Percent of players that were involved with outside training (either team or individual)
The bottom line is that not all players will be abnormally tall and experience is important for individual players and Grand Haven High School to succeed. B Cubed makes getting that experience easy.
